ST. CLOUD, Minn. – About 18 years ago and 100 miles east of Toronto on a couch in Oshawa, Ontario, a three-year-old Dan Dunn attentively watched Hockey Night in Canada with his father John-Paul.
Its really nothing different than many households with toddlers in Canada. But in this household the youthful Dan was starting to pay an acute attention towards the goalie position.
“I always admired the goalie position,” said Dan, a junior goaltender for St. Cloud State. “I was always attracted to that spot. That’s what I wanted to be when I was watching games with my dad when I was just three and four years old. It was such a high pressure spot.”
