1. Contain top forwards without overlooking other Husky forwards.

What a difference between Friday and Saturday. None of the top Husky forwards did much Saturday while they got scoring chance after chance Friday. Overlooked was a good performance by CC freshman goalie Joe Howe Friday night or that one could have been a loss.

2. Jump-start the CC special teams.

The power play went a collective 1 for 10 (1of-7 Friday) , so there wasn’t much of a jumpstart. The penalty kill struggled Friday (two PPG allowed) but came up strong Saturday (0-4).

3. Play smart on the road.

Friday showed how not to do it while Saturday was textbook winning road hockey. The good penalty kill, solid goaltending, a back-breaking goal in the final seconds of the second period all put St. Cloud down too far to come back. Cc has shown a tendency to follow up decent efforts Friday with superior outings on Saturday this month.
