Considered two of the best prospects in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League, the Winnipeg South Blues’ Stoykewych brothers – Adam and Peter – have committed to NCAA colleges.
Adam, 19, has committed to Michigan Tech while younger brother, Peter, 17, has committed to Colorado College. Peter has 28 points (22 assists) in 47 games.
Peter has enjoyed a showcase season of sorts. The big defenceman (6-3, 195 pounds) was selected to play with Team West at the World Junior A Challenge, in addition to participating in the prestigious CJHL Prospects Games staged recently in Winkler.

Peter Stoykewych (Winnipeg South Blues) — The six-foot-two, 187-pound defenceman has a hard shot and reads and understands the game well. He makes a good first pass out of his zone, has the ability to jump into the rush and has previous international experience at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge. He’s eligible for the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
