Ketchum’s Cody Lampl will be placed on the 21-day injured list with an undisclosed upper-body injury. Head coach Derek Laxdal says he expects Lampl to be out for 4-6 weeks and could return during the ECHL’s Kelly Cup playoffs.

Lampl was injured over the weekend against Bakersfield.

The 23-year-old defenseman is the first player with Idaho roots to play with the Steelheads. He has skated in 44 games this season, totaling 13 points (one goal, 12 assists), including five assists in his past six games.

Idaho’s Richard Bachman leads the league with a 2.20 goals-against average.
