College Hockey News has now tweeted that the Penn State won’t annouce its head coaching hires until after next week’s national coaches meetings in Florida. The three names being floated around the Twitterverse as likely finalists are Duluth’s Scott Sandelin, Wisconsin women’s coach Mark Johnson and former Tiger and Princeton coach Guy Gadowsky.

After making a big deal about the Super Six rumor — North Dakota, Notre Dame, Miami, CC, DU and Omaha in one new league– College HockeyNews says there’s not much to it.

Former Tiger Brett Sterling assisted both goals in a key 2-1 win for the AHL Penguins. More Sioux nickname fallout.

Brian Swanson’s Alaska Aces ended the season forĀ Cody Lampl and Weston Tardy in the ECHL playoffs.

After an NCAA aoppearance in his first year, the Western Michigan coach garnered a contract extension.
