Another reputable report indicates that Mario Lucia will choose between either Minnesota or Notre Dame after the NHL Draft later this month, when he is expected to go in the first or second round.

Notre Dame may be the strongest candidate since his father Don told the Minneapolis Star Tribune that his son will not play for him.

Here’s a profile of Mario Lucia. Some reports said he was considering CC, but those have quieted down in recent weeks. I will likely include him in  CC-centric NHL Draft preview later this month if only because high school kids have changed their minds before.

Colorado Springs’ Ben Holmstrom and former Tiger Mike Testwuide are both likely minor leaguers who some say have a good chance at more playing time with the salary cap-strapped Flyers next season.

Wisconsin names its captains. Injured Canuck Mason Raymond is a former Duluth player.
